Makes you really wonder how many privacy laws that DNA test company violated.

Maybe the relative gave permission to match to others or for "research purposes"?

Thing that is creepy here is that data is used with some other information for purposes that are more nefarious than just solving crimes or identifying unidentified corpses. Like identifying sperm donors or digging out information about cheating whores spawning cuckold babies. Might potentially lead to more than little family drama. At some point it might become a tool of extra legal political or other suppression. Maybe even target selection tool for genocide. Who knows.

I think there's a lot more at stake with this stupidity than just identification criminals or missing people.

P.S. I talked about this in a past post and was attacked by certain users here about "I have no evidence for those claims" and that I'm "just being paranoid". To those "users" trying to derail the post: go fuck yourselves.

The thing is, you dont have to be the one who signed up for 23&me/ancestry. Identifying direct relations is "easy", so if you can find someone within 3 direct relations with your unsub, the detective footwork of shaking that tree branch is doable.

For instance, if your grandmother submitted her DNA, you are now findable as well every descendent of hers. Another reason it's often marketed to the elderly.

You're likely conflating claims. These companies have been fairly upfront about their willingness to give law enforcement data under certain circumstances. That is a far cry from claiming that everything in the sourceless cracked.com article is magically true because it confirms your biases.

I'm going to assume somewhere there's a database with all of our DNA in it. If not all, then I'm sure at some point they'll be out to collect it covertly. Once you start something, you kind of want to finish it.

Cataloging traits to match genes will be fun. Gene technology, what could go wrong?

They certainly have mine from the military. They won't need yours. If anyone in your family ever served or entered the system that is close enough for them to ID you.

[–] peacegnome 2 points (+2|-0)  ago

yeah it is kind of like a facebook "friend" taking an IQ test, that then releases all of your info as well. disclaimer: i don't use facebook, but many people put their whole lives on there.

Lol. Has ANYONE in History ever had Power and NOT abused it?

Yes. Cincinnatus.

[–] Adminstrater 26 points (+26|-0)  ago

Oh great, now I have to go read about how Lucius Quinctius or Quintius Cincinnatuswas a Roman patrician, statesman, and military leader of the early Republic who became a legendary figure of Roman civic virtue, which I was not aware of because my early education was controlled by liberal hippies.

Washington surveyed the lands west of the White mountains to the Ohio valley and south to the Tennessee river. The British would not support new expansion into the area so Washington started a revolution.

Plenty. Absolute power does not actually corrupt absolutely.

Augustus Pinochet? Only dictator I know who willingly and voluntarily gave up his power. Wasn't really worth it in my opinion though.

Remember that it doesn't even have to be your DNA that leads to you. In this case it was relatives. So you can refuse to test all day but if your sister's kids do then they might still be able to target you.

[–] hardshaft 3 points (+3|-0)  ago

Just remember kids, you only need to sequence less than 25% of the population before you can easily "reverse calculate" the genomes of the remaining 75% of the population.

I know people who have actually freely gave DNA samples to these places and think it's just good fun. When I tell them the government and police have access to that DNA data I get the typical retarded answer of....Well, if you didn't do anything wrong what do you have to worry about. I don't even try to explain everything that's wrong with that statement.

(i literally went on a research mission that ill be on forever... and thats comprehensively as i can learn): what is this conciseness, why am i here, and what is being hidden from us. i clarified some questions and got a ton more. i covered so far parts of politics both foreign/domestic, history, ancient civilizations, conspiracies - or evince suggesting a secret agenda, spirituality, etc..

i told some friends/family my findings...at first they kind of heard me but did not listen. soon they started to send me information and occurrences in the world that i had been telling them for some time. im not a "doom or gloom" guy...but people need to understand this: we are living in a control system that is spinning a web deeper and deeper with the facilitation of technology. Ask yourself governmental control and rights...which direction do they go time? do they increase? or they decrease? control, up and rights, down. its ALWAYS been the case. have you read a hiostory book and learned of massive deaths of people..at times by there own govt even? (my point is we know what humans are capable of and we know how authority corrupts). so when looking at the future the lens of measurement automatically is calibrated the loss of right to life until we hit a reset (nuclear world war or catastrophic natural event). then the cycle repeats...if i drop you off in the woods in the middle nowhere isolated with a dozen others, how long before you send me an email?

-are you aware your immune system and brain can be and are manipulated through the EMFs of your televison? those patents were created over half a century ago.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqtWomHSwok&t=39sYouTube -are you aware they are testing and have bio weapons in Europe (related to Darpa or NATO i forgot its late, i can link later) they target a specific genetics (chinese, brazilan, mexican etc) -Have you looked into 5G Network? its a kill grid. they are about to commit the most devastating level of genocide this planet may ever see. look into that. they will be able to target your DNA. -are you familiar with "Project Indigo Skyfold"...look into that as well. WE ALL have "smart dust" in our body. its basically remote controlled nano tech for immune system and various body systems manipulation.

what your referring to is remote targeting through DNA. nano tech will provide a "receiver" the 5g grid is basically a more "precise" and "potent" method to radiate humans.

Familiar with the Georgia Guide-stones? First thing it says: maintain global population at 500million..well where do 6.5 million people go?

Agenda 21 - look into that. understand the United Nations was created for one reason only and the have told us publicly themselves. since 1733 they've been planning this. the back of the dollar bill "novus ordo seclorum...

why are white people and Christianity the enemy for some reaon? why is forced migration happening targeting the 5 key western countries? coincidence? its all 100% orchestrated. de-stabilization.

is 5am i gotta sleep a. i have tomorrow off but i have so may errands. i will link more stuff and can dive deeper.

in short your DEFINITELY on to DNA collection for targeting individuals. trust your instinct, keep an eye out and keep researching. dont listen to the negativity or non believers. most are not wired for the discussion your suggesting. people's paradigm is narrow by design. incomprehensible alert to the system is immediately pacified by denial, quick cost benefit analysis by the brain (partly the human body and the rest is fine tuned by social engineering).

(there are people out there no matter how much information or proof you display they will not listen. ).

Babies no longer leave the hospital without their DNA being sampled. Think about that for a second.

[–] monkeytoe101 1 points (+1|-0)  ago

Freely giving your data away is never a good thing. Someone will always think of the most fucked up way to use it and it'll bite you in the ass.

[–] Fukredditt 1 points (+1|-0)  ago  (edited  ago)

They won't need your DNA soon. They already have enough to match most unknowns to general family. From there it's just an exercise in data analytics to narrow the list down based on birth, marriage, and other records. They'll have the whole planet identified before too long.

Also getting better at projecting face from DNA and already have a global facial recognition database. No way to hide.

None, because thanks to lolbertarian faggots, contracts with corporations abrogate basic human rights. You "consented" to not having human rights if you sent your DNA to them.

[–] speedisavirus -3 points (+0|-3)  ago

Or just don't murder and rape people

[–] Derjuden 0 points (+0|-0)  ago

Well I voluntarily gave dna. Ik the risks did the research. And I'm not saying this shouldn't be shown to people who are thinking about doing this, but it does me no good to worry about it.

[–] behindtheline 2 points (+2|-0)  ago

Not sure if seriousJPG

If you don't have anything to hide you don't have anything to fear? Did your mother drop you frequently as a child?

[–] Derjuden 0 points (+0|-0)  ago

No I just choose not to live in fear.
